WHY BECOME A MEMBER

  1. An opportunity to be a part of the larger good in a short period of time. Quarterly meetings last an hour or less.

  2. Charity recipients are able to initiate more ambitious projects that would not be possible with fewer funds.

  3. 100% of your donation goes directly to a nonprofit serving Story County.

  4. It's fun! Arrive early or stay late to socialize, network and enjoy conversation with other community women who care.

  5. See the impact your donations made. Each recipient will attend a subsequent meeting to show how the donation was used.

  6. You will be able to nominate a local organization you are passionate about and share with others their good work.

  7. You will learn about a wide variety of local charities, some of which you may not have heard about.

  8. Your dollars can make a direct impact when you are not able to volunteer your time.

  9. You can increase the impact on your community by pooling your donations with other women.

  10. It just feels great!

WILL YOU JOIN US?

Joining is as simple as committing to making a $100 donation each quarter to give back to our local community.

We ask members to make a commitment to four quarterly donations (one year) when they join, regardless of whether they can attend each meeting. Members have an opportunity to nominate and vote on the charity of their choice. No bake sales, no car washes, no calling friends to ask them for money, no major time commitment; just a $100 check and the chance to get together with friends once per quarter. #ThePowerof100

MEMBER REGISTRATION AND COMMITMENT

By joining 100 Women Who Care Ames, I am pledging to participate in 100 Women Who Care Ames and make a personal commitment to:

  • Contribute $100 at each quarterly meeting during the year ($100 x 4 meetings) to local nonprofit organizations serving Story County, Iowa, which will be selected by the group's majority vote. I agree to donate at each meeting to the nonprofit organization selected by the group's majority vote.

  • If unable to attend a meeting, I will either send my check with another attending member to deliver on my behalf, mail as requested after the meeting, or pay online if that option is presented within seven (7) days of the meeting. I realize only members in attendance are able to vote.

  • Acknowledge that photographs and videos taken at events and meetings may include my image and may be used in promotional materials for 100 Women Who Care Ames.

  • If I wish to discontinue membership, I will send an email to: 100AmesWomen@gmail.com

  • I understand my personal contact information is strictly confidential, and I understand it will not be shared or distributed to an outside third party without my expressed consent.
